This year, the NHS Lanarkshire Staff Awards are putting the choice directly into the hands of staff with the introduction of our new People’s Choice Award.
We received a record-breaking number of nominations for the Staff Awards 2026, with colleagues from across NHS Lanarkshire sharing inspiring examples of outstanding care, compassion, teamwork, innovation and dedication.
The list below brings together the individuals and teams put forward for the People’s Choice Award, along with a summary of the nominations received for each candidate.

Staff are being asked to read through the nominations and select the one individual or team they believe should receive the People’s Choice Award. You can read the nominations here.
Voting will open on Friday 7 August 2026 and close on Monday 17 August 2026. You can vote for your winner here.
The three nominees receiving the highest number of votes will be invited to the Staff Awards ceremony in October, where the finalists and overall People’s Choice Award winner will be revealed.
