As we enter the winter months, protecting ourselves and our communities against flu has never been more important.
The flu vaccine is a safe and effective way to reduce the risk of serious illness and prevent avoidable hospitalisations and our Chief Executive, Louise Long, is encouraging health and social care staff to get vaccinated.
As health and social care workers we all have a responsibility to protect patients, ourselves and our families. One very important way we can do this during winter is to get the flu vaccination.
The vaccination team will be doing everything they can to make access to the flu vaccine easier, with peer immunisation clinics and options to book appointments at any of our vaccination clinics.”
Staff vaccinations are available now and there will be regular updates on where and when you can get the flu vaccine and also information on how to become a peer immuniser.
