Staff across NHS Lanarkshire are being encouraged to get involved in National Wellbeing Week 2026, taking place from 22–26 June, with a wide range of activities and resources available to support staff health and wellbeing.
This year’s theme, Compassionate Leadership, focuses on creating supportive, inclusive workplace cultures and encouraging colleagues to look after their own wellbeing while supporting others.
A varied programme of local events will be available throughout the week to compliment the National Wellbeing Programme including both in person sessions across sites and online resources that staff can access at a time that suits them.
Local activities will cover topics such as mental health, financial wellbeing, equality and inclusion, and practical support services, offering something for everyone regardless of role or location.
The National Wellbeing programme of events, including local activities and national resources, will be available on the Staff Support and Wellbeing webpage, which will act as the central hub for all information.
Lesley Mackay, Staff Health & Wellbeing, said: “National Wellbeing Week provides an important opportunity to shine a light on the wide range of support available to our staff and to encourage people to take time to focus on their own health and wellbeing.
“This year’s theme of Compassionate Leadership highlights the role we all play in creating a supportive working environment, whether that’s through small everyday actions or more structured support.
“The programme has been designed to offer a variety of options, , so that everyone can engage in a way that suits them. We would really encourage colleagues to explore what’s on offer and take advantage of the support available.”
Staff are encouraged to visit the webpage, explore the programme and take part in activities throughout the week.
More information will be shared in the lead-up to the week.
