This issue of the newsletter will feature an overview of NHS Lanarkshire’s sustainability performance in 2023 and looks at the highlights of each sustainability workstream over the past year.
The newsletter also includes the Sustainability teams expectations and ambitions moving forward into 2024 and looks at the sustainability events the team will be raising awareness on and celebrating in the coming months.

Craig Brown, Head of Sustainability & Environmental Performance, NHS Lanarkshire, said: “After significant changes to the team in 2023 (a whole new Sustainability team), one of the key goals was to improve data collection and understand the wider NHS Lanarkshire organisation.
“As a team we have accomplished this, and I am very grateful for the teams hard work and determination in improving the quality and amount of data we now use for reporting. Everyone we have engaged within NHSL regarding sustainability and climate change has been very helpful, which is extremely encouraging moving forward. This puts the NHS Lanarkshire Sustainability Agenda in a great place and I am excited to see what we can accomplish in 2024”.
