Minor Injuries Clinics

NHS Lanarkshire has three drop-in minor injury clinics within each of our acute hospitals – Hairmyres, Monklands and Wishaw. They can treat a range of illnesses and injuries including sprains, strains, minor burns, bites and cuts.

You don’t need an appointment to attend but your waiting time will vary since patients are treated in order of greatest-need.

Acute Hospitals – 7 days per week –

• Hairmyres Hospital (9am-9pm)
• Monklands Hospital (9am-9pm)
• Wishaw General Hospital (9am-9pm).

Health and Social Care Partnerships in Lanarkshire

The principal aim of the integration of health and social care is to improve the health and wellbeing of the people in the area.To make this happen, the respective health and social care partnerships of North and South Lanarkshire are ensuring that the expertise and resources of health and social care services are combined, shared, coordinated – and plans made jointly – with the person at the centre of these collective efforts.

Reporting fraud

NHS Lanarkshire has initiatives that actively seek to identify fraud or assist staff to identify fraud. These initiatives include:

• An ongoing programme of fraud awareness sessions
• A programme of proactive work by CFS designed to promote awareness of fraud and to actively search for fraud in identified high risk areas.
• Participation in the National Fraud Initiative (NFI), a biennial data matching exercise comparing data (such as payroll information) from across the public sector with a view to identifying potential fraud.
