Registration opens for this year’s Move More Challenge on Monday 29 June – and colleagues across NHS Lanarkshire are being encouraged to get involved.
Inspired by the return of the Commonwealth Games to Glasgow, this year’s challenge will see Team Lanarkshire travel the Commonwealth route together from 23 July to 20 August.
The challenge is a fun and motivating way to move more each day, boost your wellbeing and connect with colleagues across NHS Lanarkshire.
Colleagues can take part as an individual or create or join a team of up to 10 people. More than 50 activities can be converted into steps, making it easy to take part in a way that suits you.
Whether you enjoy walking, cycling, swimming, gardening, dancing or taking part in a fitness class, every movement counts towards the challenge.
Lesley Mackay, Staff Health and Wellbeing, said: “The Move More Challenge is a great opportunity for colleagues to come together, support each other and build more movement into their day in a way that feels achievable and enjoyable.
“Being active can have such a positive impact on our physical and mental wellbeing, and this challenge is a simple way to stay motivated while connecting with others across NHS Lanarkshire.
“We would encourage colleagues to add the register date to their schedule, get their teams together and help us get Team Lanarkshire to the starting line.”
Places are limited, so colleagues are encouraged to register on Monday 29 June .
