NHS Lanarkshire Orchestra will perform a summer concert at South Wishaw Parish Church next month, with proceeds going to Wishaw Food Bank.
The concert will take place on Thursday 18 June 2026 at 7pm and will feature a mix of orchestral music, solo performances and small group pieces.
The orchestra, made up of NHS Lanarkshire staff, made its debut at the Staff Awards last year and has since performed at a number of charity and hospital concerts, including events over the Christmas period.
The programme will include a range of music, including two pieces composed by a member of the orchestra.
Evelyn Ferguson, Consultant Obstetrician and orchestra leader, said: “We are really looking forward to performing at South Wishaw Parish Church and sharing the music we have been rehearsing.
“The orchestra has grown from our first performance at the Staff Awards, and it has been wonderful to see colleagues come together through music. This concert gives us the opportunity to perform for the local community while also supporting Wishaw Food Bank, which provides such important help to people in the area.
“We hope there will be something for everyone to enjoy, from orchestral pieces to solo and small group performances.”
Tickets cost £5 and are available by emailing Evelyn.Ferguson@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk or Gillian.Braithwaite@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk or from any orchestra member. Any remaining tickets will be available on the door, subject to availability.
