Following the success of the non-medical prescribing (NMP) webinar week in February 2024 and February 2025, this event will now be held annually.
This year’s Non-Medical Prescribing Webinar Week will take place 18–22 May 2026.
The event will consist of a programme of live and recorded webinars that meet the learning needs of NHS Lanarkshire’s non-medical prescribers and trainees to ensure they maintain contemporary, evidence-based knowledge to support safe, effective prescribing practice. The event will see a week of webinars provided by clinical experts focused on safe prescribing practice for independent and trainee independent prescribers across NHS Lanarkshire.
Ann Gregory, practice development practitioner, said: “The yearly initiative aims to support the ongoing learning and development of non-medical prescribers across NHS Lanarkshire and trainees who are undertaking programmes of study to become a non-medical prescriber”.
The continuous professional development opportunity aims to enhance prescribing knowledge, support professional growth and promote safe and effective prescribing practices, ultimately reducing the risk of harm to patients.
The programme will incorporate the principles of Realistic Medicine, encouraging thoughtful, sustainable choices that benefit patients, services and the wider system financially and environmentally.
Ann continued: “By offering accessible, high quality education, we want to help our prescribers stay up-to-date with the latest evidence, feel confident in their decision making and continue to deliver safe, person centred care”.
Look out for further details, including full programme and how to register for any of the sessions.
