Why it is important to keep clean?

You will need

How often should you wash?

Wash yourself every day.

At the Sink.

Or a Shower.

Or a Bath.

You need to wash all your body

  • Your hands and under your fingernails
  • Your feet and between your toes
  • Under your arms
  • Between your legs and your bottom

After you have washed and dried yourself.

Put some deodorant under both arms.

Put on clean clothes.

You will look and feel better.

Washing your hair

Washing your hair keeps it clean and helps stop the skin on your head become itchy.

Some people need to wash their hair every day.

Some only 2 or 3 times a week.

Wash the shampoo out of your hair with water.

Then dry your hair with a towel or a hairdryer.

Comb or brush your hair.

It is best to shave in your bathroom.

You need a Mirror.

Change the blades once per week.

How to Wet Shave

Put the plug in the sink with some warm water.

Stand in front of a mirror in your bathroom.

Put some shaving foam in your hand then rub on your face.

Shave carefully “go with the grain”.

Rinse your razor in the water.

This stops it getting clogged with hair.

Touch your face and check if you have missed any hair.

Wipe your face with a clean towel, when finished shaving.

How to Dry Shave

Beard or Moustache

Keeping your teeth clean

Brushing your teeth keeps your teeth and gums clean and healthy.

Brush your teeth twice a day, in the morning when you get up and before going to bed at night.

How to brush your teeth

You need a tooth brush and toothpaste.

Put a small amount of toothpaste onto your toothbrush.

Brush all your teeth.

Put the lid on your toothpaste.

How to clean your dentures

It’s important to keep dentures or a dental clean.

Do not use regular toothpaste as it scratches the denture.

Put a small amount of denture past on the toothbrush.

Rinse the denture in running water.

Then rinse the denture in running water.

You can also soak your dentures over-night.

You need denture cleaning tablets.

Warm water.

Container or glass.

Put warm water in the glass, then add the tablet and dentures.

In the morning, take the dentures out of the glass or container.

Empty the container into the sink and wash with soap and water

Going to the toilet

It is important that you wash your hands after going to the toilet.

Washing your hands with soap and water, washes away any germs.

How to wash your hands

Wet your hands with water.

Rub some soap or handwash in your hands until you make bubbles.

Count to about 15 while you do this.
