Today is World Hand Hygiene Day and this year’s theme is “Action saves lives!”.
Good hand hygiene helps prevent the spread of infections and staff are being reminded that while washing your hands may not always seem top priority, good hand hygiene is the most important measure to avoid the spread of harmful germs and prevent infection
Remember: Germs are most commonly spread by people’s hands and for health and social care staff good hand hygiene is vitally important to protect the patients you are interacting with and your own family’s health.
