Huge congratulations to Gavin Murray on being nominated for the second staff GREATix of the month award at University Hospital Wishaw.
Andy O’Donnell and Iain Laird, who acknowledged Gav’s ongoing competence and outstanding work in his capacity as a porter on site, presented this month’s award.
Gav has showed great care and compassion with patients when he has brought them to and from radiology. He takes time and attention to speak to the patients in a compassionate manner to put them at ease, explaining what’s going to happen when he drops them off for an X-ray and then what happens after their X-ray. He really is a shining example of NHS Lanarkshire core values of respect and working together and does this in an efficient and effective way.
Gav’s excellence within the portering department is a shining example of helping to alleviate patient fear and anxiety ahead of attending the imaging department making for an enhanced patient experience throughout their hospital journey. Thank you, Gav!
