SPOTLIGHT

Two weeks to nominate for Awards

Aug 1, 2023

There are now under two weeks left to nominate your caring hero/heroes for this year’s Scottish Health Awards.

This is the 22nd year of the awards which celebrate those working across NHS Scotland and its partners in delivering high quality health and social care services to the people of Scotland.

The Scottish Health Awards want to know about the people who have genuinely made a difference to your life or to the lives of your family or friends. It might be an individual or a team who have provided outstanding care to their patients or those who are in jobs that normally don’t have a high profile and who generally should be recognised for their commitment.

For further information on how to nominate, visit the Scottish Health Awards website here.

There are sixteen award categories, and this year we are delighted to introduce a brand new category, the Paramedic Award.  This award is for an individual Paramedic or Ambulance Technician who has provided excellent pre-hospital emergency care for patients in Scotland.

This year is also a very special year for the NHS in Scotland, as we mark the 75th Anniversary of the NHS which was founded on 5 July 1948. This year also marks the 75th year of social care services.

The Scottish Health Awards want to celebrate the achievements of those who have contributed to our NHS in Scotland over its 75 years with the People’s Choice 75th Anniversary Award.

To qualify for entry, the only ask is that they are still currently working in NHS Scotland at the time of the Anniversary on 5 July 2023.

For further information on this and all the award categories, visit the Scottish Health Awards website here.
