The Tertiary Eating Disorders Service purchases courses from Beat

All Lanarkshire residents are able to participate in Beat courses that have been purchased by the Tertiary Eating Disorders Service (TESS).

The most prominent charity for eating disorders in the nation, Beat seeks to eradicate the suffering that eating disorders inflict. As part of their mission, they provide a range of services, such as workshops for both patients and carers.

These courses are available via the Scottish Helpline or the Beat POD, which is linked below. Please give the resources below to patients or carers you know who might benefit from these courses.

Some of the courses have a limited number of spaces, so take advantage of this quickly!

A few of the services provided by Beat are as follows:

Momentum

  • A guided self-help management group for Binge Eating Disorder
  • Open to self-referral for Lanarkshire residents
  • TESS have purchased a limited number of spots for this resource – please sign up before April 2024 to take advantage

Raising Resilience

  • A free video-based training workshop for carers focussed on building skills and resilience for carers – limited availability, please sign up ASAP

Developing Dolphins

  • A free video-based training workshop for carers focussed on building skills and resilience for carers – limited availability, please sign up ASAP
