The West of Scotland Laundry (WoSL) staff wellbeing group successfully raised money for breast cancer awareness through a fundraising event.
The group raised money by serving a delightful buffet of baked delicacies at afternoon tea and coffee morning. Everyone in attendance was urged to wear something pink to raise awareness of breast cancer. With the help of the staff wellbeing group and all participating staff members, this ‘wear it pink’ event was a great success.
The team are grateful to everyone who got involved with this event, which raised £275.10 for Cancer Research!
The WoSL staff wellbeing group regularly participates in raising funds for national projects and distributing knowledge regarding public health campaigns. With prostate cancer awareness at its core, the team has already begun preparations for something very special this month.
Alison Jamieson, Head of Linen Services, said: “Sometimes it feels like we are the forgotten service and it is nice for the team to be recognised for the hard work they do which includes fundraising.”
The WoSL staff have made a tremendous effort and we can’t wait to see what they get up to next.
