Speak Up Week focuses on learning from concerns

Oct 2, 2023

Speak Up Week 2023 is back for its second year to help raise awareness about how to raise concerns and promote a positive speak up culture within the NHS.

Running from 2 to 6 October, the theme of the week this year is ‘Learning from Concerns’ to help encourage a good speak up culture.

Every day of Speak Up Week, The Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO) will be sharing content across their social media channels. The topics for Speak Up Week 2023 are:

Monday: Encouraging a speak up culture

Tuesday: Sharing learning whilst maintaining confidentiality

Wednesday: Recording outcomes & learning

Thursday: Sharing improvements and action plans with the Whistleblower

Friday: Reporting on learning & improvements

There will also be a live online panel discussion on Thursday 5 October 2023, 11am to 12pm featuring a range of experiences and expertise across a number of different fields. You can sign up for this webinar here.

You can also join the conversation on Twitter using #SpeakUpWeek.
