Our annual Realistic Medicine Conference was a great success, with nearly 70 colleagues attending.
All NHS Lanarkshire and university health and social care partnership staff were invited to the in-person event, at University Hospital Hairmyres lecture theatre.
Realistic Medicine for Lanarkshire is about realistic health and care and supports patients, their families and healthcare providers to discuss care and treatment options and together formulate the best treatment plan.
Karen Morrow, Realistic Medicine Programme Manager, said: “Attending the conference has enabled staff to engage with the realistic medicine vision for Lanarkshire and how it aligns with national realistic ambitions. It showcased local and national work and provided the opportunity to hear from colleagues about their realistic medicine innovation.
“This event supports CPD accreditation and necessary revalidation.”
Presentations included:
- Interface division supporting a sustainable health and care delivery model by Trudi Marshall, Executive Director for Interface;
- Evolving holistic and value-based approaches to care by Angela Donaldson, Health Promoting Health Service Senior;
