NHS Lanarkshire has launched its Quality Strategy 2023-2029 for Lanarkshire. The strategy provides a clear direction of how everyone in NHS Lanarkshire will deliver high quality healthcare. It puts our service users and staff at the heart of that work, recognising that we must all work together to achieve our aims. The strategy also links with other key strategies in NHS Lanarkshire, such as ‘Our Health Together’ and the ‘Lanarkshire Equality Strategy’.
Thanks to the feedback provided by members of staff and the public, this will help shape and build the strategy, ensuring that what matters to our staff and our service user is a central message in the strategy.
Karon Cormack, director of quality, said: “I’m excited about the focus of this strategy, it will bring quality healthcare for the people of Lanarkshire and will provide support for our staff to flourish.
“Making compassionate leadership a key focus will build on the positive culture already present in NHS Lanarkshire and will help staff realise their full potential. The description of whole system quality will help everyone to understand the key elements required to maintain and improve quality.
“The ‘True North’ statements remind us of our purpose and key aims. In our engagement for the strategy it was obvious that staff really cared about providing high quality services, so the intention of the strategy is to provide the support and direction to achieve this.”
