Our staff feature in NHS 24 winter films

Jan 3, 2024

Three members of our NHS Lanarkshire team have participated in a series of films for the NHS 24 winter campaign.

The short films are based on highlighting the most frequent self-care outcomes for low acuity presentations to their 111 service. Self-care outcomes account for approximately 30% of all calls to 111 and by directing these calls to the right care in the right place (i.e., self-care, at home), people are supported and enabled in their recovery and NHS 24 can continue to support people with more complex care needs.

Our staff featuring in the short films include:

Featuring in the UTI film highlighting self-care options, Dr Mike Coates, Clinical Director NHS Lanarkshire Out of Hours, commented:

“I was really pleased to support the NHS 24 national campaign to encourage patients to consider self-care options. It’s important to raise awareness and help patients seek the right care in the right place and highlighting the many self-care options that exist will help ease the pressure on our services.”

The films will be promoted on NHS 24 and NHS Lanarkshire digital channels.  Please help us to promote the films by sharing with family and friends on your social channels.
