NHS Lanarkshire is launching a new salary sacrifice low-emission car scheme on Friday 28 November, giving staff the chance to drive a brand-new electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle through an affordable and fully inclusive lease arrangement.
Delivered in partnership with Knowles Fleet, the scheme offers access to a wide range of low-emission cars with no deposit, no credit checks and a complete motoring package that includes insurance, servicing, maintenance, breakdown cover and tyres.
Staff pay for their vehicle through a monthly salary sacrifice, meaning payments are taken from gross pay and can offer savings on tax, national insurance and pension contributions.
Jacqui McGeough, Interim Director of Property & Sustainability, said: “We are pleased to introduce a scheme that offers staff a simple, affordable way to drive a new low-emission vehicle while also supporting our wider sustainability ambitions.
“As an organisation, we are committed to becoming as energy efficient as possible, and encouraging the use of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles is an important part of that.
“We hope this makes the transition to greener driving more accessible for colleagues across the organization.
“This scheme not only delivers financial benefits but also supports our shared responsibility to reduce emissions and contribute to a healthier environment for our communities.”
Staff will be able to browse available cars, request a personalised quote and complete their application online. Once approved, their new vehicle will be delivered directly to their door.
