South Lanarkshire HSCP are delighted to confirm the appointment of Claire Rae as Head of Health and Social Care.
Following a highly competitive interview process, Ms Rae now moves from an interim post to a permanent member of the Partnership’s senior management team.
Professor Soumen Sengupta, Director of Health and Social Care, said: “This post is key in providing strategic direction and leadership in the planning, management and provision of all clinical and non-clinical services for the communities we serve.
“Claire brings outstanding leadership, professionalism and compassion to the role. Her expertise will be crucial as we continue to negotiate well-publicised challenges and ensure the delivery of safe and effective care.”
Claire qualified in 1998 from Glasgow Caledonian University with BSc in Physiotherapy and joined NHS Lanarkshire in 2015 after beginning her career at the Victoria Infirmary Glasgow.
She was appointed Head of Physiotherapy Services and Professional Lead role within NHS Lanarkshire in May 2018, before being recruited to Head of Health and Social Care, in May last year, on an interim basis. Claire is passionate about people and getting it right for staff and service users alike.
