All staff are invited to an engagement meeting about the plans for the new University Hospital Monklands.
The event – from 12.30pm to 1.30pm on Tuesday 15 September – will be hosted at the Monklands Replacement Project (MRP) Immersive Suite at University Hospital Monklands.
UHM staff can attend in person – please note, the space is limited due to the size of the venue. All other health and social care staff, including anyone unable to join in person if the venue is at capacity, can join via the Microsoft Teams link.
As detailed in the MRP’s extensive Q&As, the full business case for the new hospital was not approved by the Scottish Government. Instead, the programme moved into a formal “reset” phase in June to develop a revised, more affordable and sustainable approach.
The Scottish Government has been clear that its commitment to building a new University Hospital Monklands has not changed.
The meeting will cover the latest information on the reset phase and give you the opportunity to provide your feedback.
When finalised, the MRP redesign plans are likely to have an influence on the delivery of services beyond Monklands, including our other acute sites and community services, so colleagues from across NHS Lanarkshire and the health and social care partnerships are urged to take this opportunity to hear the most up-to-date information about developments and give your comments.
