A series of short mindfulness sessions is available to help NHS Lanarkshire staff manage stress, reset during the working day and support their overall wellbeing.
These guided sessions range from just one to five minutes and offer a quick, accessible way to pause, reflect and restore focus — whether at work or at home.
Each video can be watched at any time and is part of a wider set of wellbeing resources available on the Staff Support and Wellbeing webpages.
Lesley Mackay, Work & Wellbeing Adviser for NHS Lanarkshire’s Staff Health and Wellbeing Steering Group, said: “These short practices are ideal for anyone looking to build a little bit of calm into their day. Even a minute of mindfulness can make a difference to how we feel — especially when things are busy or overwhelming.
“Mindfulness doesn’t have to mean sitting in silence for hours. It can be as simple as taking a moment to breathe, slow down and reconnect with yourself. These guided sessions give staff an easy way to do that — and the flexibility to fit it into the working day or use it at home.
“Protecting our wellbeing isn’t about grand gestures — it’s about small, regular habits that help us cope and stay grounded. These videos are a great starting point, and they’re there for everyone to use, whenever they need them.”
