Jacqueline Meade, North team leader for neurodevelopmental service has been rewarded for her work with a family, going above and beyond to support Jamie, who has autism.
Jacqueline recently received the Wishaw Press’ Say it with Flowers award. Jacqueline was nominated by Alana and Gregg McCafferty for the beautiful floral arrangement courtesy of Pixies Petals, to say thank you to Jacqueline for the support she has afforded them and their 12-year-old son Jamie.
Alana said: “Jacqueline was just always there, saying ‘don’t worry, you’re doing a good job.’ She’d call me after work to reassure me and she had Jamie’s back. If it wasn’t for her I don’t know where we’d be right now. She really is a life-saver.
Suzanne Shields, clinical manager for neurodevelopmental service said, “I am delighted that the work of the service has been recognised. Unfortunately, we have a long waiting list, however it is always good to hear that families feel supported when they access our service.
“Jacqueline is a valuable member of the team and it’s great to see her commitment to the children and families recognised.”
