Following a sell-out run last year, the team behind five-star Edinburgh Fringe show, Tending, will be celebrating the nurses who provided the testimonies on which their script is based, with an immersive reading at the Henderson Theatre in Shotts at 7pm on Monday, 29 July 2024.
This very special Fringe preview will be followed by Q&A session and offer a chance for healthcare workers to bring their own experiences to the event.
Exploring the inner lives of our NHS workers, Tending takes us on a journey to the heart of our healthcare system, ‘normal’ working days: pressure, grief and humour.
Writer, El Blackwood spoke of how the team behind Tending felt real responsibility to do nurses justice during the creation of the script. Now, following the show’s success, she describes the drive to offer the story back to the healthcare community.
