Fond farewell to Mary Louden in public health

Apr 15, 2024

Public health says a fond farewell to Mary Louden, operational services manager – public health, who is retiring after nine years’ service with NHS Lanarkshire and many previous years with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

Mary has been the bedrock of public health throughout her time with NHS Lanarkshire. She has given unparalleled support to the director of public health and health policy and the directorate, through the most trying of times – most notably the COVID-19 pandemic.

Professor S Josephine Pravinkumar, director of public health and health policy, said: “We have been blessed to have had Mary with us as a long standing member of the public health directorate in Lanarkshire. As operational support supervisor then as an operational services manager, Mary has made an excellent contribution managing our support staff team and overseeing the key operational management of the directorate. I am personally grateful for her support and guidance over the years. We will miss Mary enormously but we wish her a wonderful retirement.”
