NHS Lanarkshire has commissioned Affina Organisation Development (AOD) to explore and assess the culture within the organisation. Culture, put simply, is ‘the way that we do things around here’.
In a video, Karon Cormack, director of quality, explains the purpose of the survey, what staff will expect and how they can get involved.
Karon said: “The survey will cover areas identified as having a positive impact on workplace cultures, such as compassionate leadership, values and teamworking.
“It has been designed to provide more information on how our values are lived, the behaviours we see at work and the way of life where we work in NHS Lanarkshire.
“We want to build a picture of what it feels like for staff to work in NHS Lanarkshire and I look forward to seeing the results”.
The areas that will be evaluated are:
- vision and values;
- goals and performance;
- learning and innovation;
- team working;
- collective leadership;
- compassionate care;

The survey, which should take approximately 15 minutes to complete, will run until Sunday 19 November.
