NHS Lanarkshire has a new home for staff news, updates and your feedback: the Communications Hub.
At the moment, important information reaches you across several different places – email, the website, FirstPort, Pulse and social media. That can make it hard to know where to look, and hard for us to tell whether our messages are getting through.
The hub brings staff news and updates together in one place, and gives you a clear, visible way to tell us what you think.
Calvin Brown, Director of Communications, said: “Staff have told us, through iMatter and in other ways, that they feel reasonably well informed but not always involved.
“The hub is a practical step towards making it easier to stay up to date. But it’s also about moving from pushing information out to having a proper, two-way conversation. That means listening, not just broadcasting information.”
This is the first version of the hub. We’ve launched early, as a starting point rather than a finished product, because we want to develop the hub with your input.
You’ll find a feedback form on the site where you can tell us what’s working for you and what would make it better. Your comments and ideas will directly shape what comes next.
Each week, we will ask a short, anonymous question through a staff pulse poll. When we ask for your views, we’ll come back and tell you what staff said and what we’re doing as a result.
Our usual channels will keep running for now, but more of our news and features will move to the hub as it develops.
Calvin said: “I’d really encourage everyone to take a few minutes to look around and let us know what you think. We’re not pretending to have got everything right first time. The quickest way to make the hub as useful as it can be is to hear from the people who’ll be using it every day.”
