Director of pharmacy, Christine Gilmour, has been designated as a Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society for distinction in the profession of pharmacy.
Being appointed a Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society by the RPS panel of Fellows is one of the highest accolades that can be paid to a member as it recognises the distinction members have attained in their pharmacy career.
As Fellowships are based on nominations from members, it also signifies the high esteem in which members are held by their peers. The Society currently has 824 Fellows from across the profession representing a variety sectors and career stages.
Christine has been in her current role for 17 years, having initially joined NHS Lanarkshire as trust chief pharmacist for University Hospital Hairmyres and Stonehouse in 1994
Dr Chris Deighan, NHS Lanarkshire executive medical director said: “We are extremely proud of Christine. This is a fantastic achievement and recognises all the hard work, dedication and expertise Christine has displayed across her career.”
