In Scotland women (and anyone with a cervix) aged 25 to 64 are offered regular screening. It’s important to go for your cervical screening when you are invited.
It’s okay to feel a bit anxious about going but there are lots of ways to make this easier, such as asking for a longer appointment, asking to speak to your practice nurse before the appointment or even taking a friend or family member along to give you support.
