Would you like to help inspire NHS Lanarkshire’s workforce of tomorrow? By investing in the next generation, you will contribute to building the talent pipeline for our NHS.
Do you want to connect with schools and inspire young people? Would you enjoy sharing your career journey and experience with students? Are you interested in offering mock interviews and giving valuable employer insights? If so, you are invited to join us as an NHS Lanarkshire career ambassador.
How to Get Involved
To become a career ambassador, simply register as a volunteer on the ‘Inspiring the Future’ platform. It is an easy and flexible way to get involved, offering you the chance to:
- Contribute approximately three hours per year to the initiative;
- Participate in in-person or virtual sessions, based on your availability;
- Choose the activities that best align with your interests and department.
Â
What You Will Do
As a volunteer, you will be matched with secondary schools through the online platform. By adding two local postcodes, you will ensure that activities are conveniently located near you. You can select from a variety of opportunities such as:
- Career talks (in-person or online);
- CV support;
- Mock interviews;
- Speed networking and more.
Volunteers are welcome from all career paths and levels of experience, so whether you are just starting out or a seasoned professional, you can make a difference.
