A message from Claire Rae, Head of Health & Social Care, South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership

In the dynamic and often challenging landscape of health and social care our fundamental values endure. Compassion underpins everything we do – and, paramount to that, is being able to truly understanding patient, service user and carers’ honest perspectives and experience.

In Autumn 2023, South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership will formally and publicly launch our collaboration with Care Opinion. Care Opinion is a place members of the public can share their experience of health or care services.

As well as supporting our ongoing commitment to improvement and our culture of transparency and transformation, Care Opinion holds the keys to unlocking a deeper understanding of the real difference staff working across South Lanarkshire HSCP make in people’s lives, day in, day out.

Feedback from other health and care colleagues shows that simply seeing that feedback – which could otherwise be missed in the busy working world we inhabit – can be deeply validating and reaffirming.

In the following weeks and leading up to launch, a raft of supporting material and a series of ‘espresso’ presentations will be offered to staff, bringing short, sharp but powerful insight into this platform ahead of launch.
