SPOTLIGHT

Build confidence during Workforce Policy Awareness Week

Sep 16, 2026

Workforce Policy Awareness Week will take place from Monday 19 to Friday 23 October 2026, offering practical guidance on the policies staff use every day.

Open to all staff, managers and leaders, the week will feature a programme of short, focused and interactive sessions delivered through Microsoft Teams.

Sessions will cover a wide range of workforce topics, including flexible working, attendance, annual and special leave, recruitment, reasonable adjustments, maternity, redeployment, retirement, bullying and harassment, and more.

Wendy Craw, HR Manager – Policy & Training, said: “Workforce Policy Awareness Week is a great opportunity for colleagues to strengthen their understanding of the policies that support us at work. Whether you are a member of staff, a manager or a leader, these practical sessions will help you apply our policies fairly and confidently.

“We hope colleagues will join us, share good practice and help create respectful, supportive and safe workplaces across NHS Lanarkshire.”
