NHS Lanarkshire has launched a new animation – designed to promote healthy breathing patterns.
Available here, the animation guides people through simple exercises to support physical and mental well-being.
Carolyn Bell, Physiotherapy Lead for Respiratory Medicine for NHS Lanarkshire explained: “Breathing well is essential for maintaining overall health.
“Changes in our breathing pattern can signal deterioration in physical, mental, or psychological health.
“By recognising and maintaining a good breathing pattern, individuals can stay fit and healthy, both physically and mentally.
Ms Bell added: “This animation is designed to help users identify a good breathing pattern and offers easy-to-follow exercises that can be incorporated into daily routines. Whether for stress management, relaxation, or general wellness, the tool is suitable for healthcare settings – and personal use.”
As part of NHS Lanarkshire’s commitment to patient-centred care, this resource highlights the importance of holistic health and supports individuals in maintaining a proactive approach to their well-being.
