Supporting patients to remain as active as possible while in hospital by doing activities that are important to them is extremely important.
Active Wards aims to support people to be as active as possible while in hospital and encourages all patients, visitors and staff to work together to make sure this happens for each and every patient, where appropriate.
The initiative wants to ensure that everyone understands the importance of being physically and mentally active during a stay in hospital with everyone encouraging each other, and working together to take part in activities that are important to the patient.
To support staff with this new initiative we are offering information sessions. These are being held on MS Teams on Tuesday, August 27 and Thursday, August 29 to make it as easy as possible for staff to attend.
