Primary Care Action Plan

The Vaccine Transformation Programme has been successfully implemented, ensuring efficient and streamlined delivery of vaccinations across various settings. Here’s how vaccines are now provided:

Pre-School Vaccinations: Managed services delivered by Health Visiting Teams ensure that pre-school children receive all necessary vaccinations on time.
School Immunisation: The School Immunisation Team delivers vaccines for school-aged children, including the flu programme, boosters, HPV, and Men ACWY.
Mass Vaccination Programme (MVP): A comprehensive service for children, adults, and staff, delivering influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations. Additionally, pneumococcal and shingles vaccinations are also provided through this programme.
Out of Schedule Vaccinations: A referral process is in place for patients requiring vaccinations outside of the regular schedule, ensuring everyone has access to necessary immunisations.
Pregnancy Vaccinations: Managed and delivered by midwifery services to protect both the expectant mothers and their babies.
Travel Health: Vaccinations required for travel are conveniently delivered through the MVP.
