Steady, skilled and always supportive — Craig Graham, Lead Nurse at Salus Occupational Health in Hamilton, is the latest finalist to be announced in the 2025 NHS Lanarkshire Staff Awards.
Known as the “backbone of Salus”, Craig is the kind of colleague who quietly makes everything run better — from opening early clinics to resolving software issues behind the scenes. He blends deep clinical knowledge with unshakable calm, guiding the team through vaccination rollouts, digital transitions and day-to-day challenges with care and compassion.
Over the past year, Craig has stepped up as acting Service Manager, helping implement a new occupational health platform while expanding the staff immunisation programme. He writes guidance, coaches colleagues and shares his know-how across the country — all while keeping spirits high with humour and humility.
His technical brilliance and people-first mindset have helped shape a more resilient, connected and compassionate service for staff across Lanarkshire.
