Lanarkshire Carers is delighted to congratulate Mahvish Razvi on her successful participation in the prestigious Digital Health and Care Leadership Programme, a key initiative aimed at equipping leaders with the skills to drive digital transformation within health and social care services.
Mahvish’s dedication to enhancing digital capabilities has already begun to yield tangible benefits for Lanarkshire Carers and the unpaid carers it supports.
Barbara McAuley, Chief Executive of Lanarkshire Carers, said: “We are thrilled to see Mahvish successfully complete the Digital Health and Care Leadership Programme. She has applied her learning brilliantly within the organisation.
“For example, we have introduced a new live chat function on our website, and we’re seeing fantastic engagement. Our enhanced CarerSpace portal is creating opportunities to work more efficiently and better support carers.
“This is a fantastic personal achievement for Mahvish, which is also driving improvements across our team and services. It underlines Lanarkshire Carers’ commitment to supporting the carer community through digital innovation and our focus on shaping the future of digital health and care.”
CarerSpace, an innovative online portal designed to streamline access to vital resources, support services, and community networks for carers across Lanarkshire. It provides 24/7 access to personalised information, self-help tools, and the ability to manage their support needs digitally.
A core feature is the Carer Conversation Toolkit – an online tool developed by carers for carers that helps individuals explore aspects of their life and focus on what matters to them. This integrated approach has not only increased convenience and accessibility but also enhanced the overall experience for carers seeking assistance.
Mahvish reflected on her digital leadership journey. She said: “To me, a digital leader is someone with curiosity and passion to explore new ideas and possibilities. You don’t need to be a tech expert – it’s more about being proactive in identifying gaps and driving change to find solutions.
“It’s about putting the user first and ensuring technology is harnessed in ways that truly serve people. Digital leadership isn’t defined by a job title; it’s a mindset and an approach – having a vision for digital innovation, inspiring others, and being committed to driving projects forward to create positive change.”
Lanarkshire Carers works with and for carers to develop and deliver services that make a positive difference to their lives. Carers are at the heart of the organisation to ensure services are effective and accessible regardless of personal circumstances or caring situations.
