Free Stress Control Classes Return to Lanarkshire this March

Feb 26, 2025

Staff will have the opportunity to learn practical skills to manage stress and improve their wellbeing as free Stress Control classes return in March 2025.

The six-week course is designed to help individuals develop techniques to cope with everyday challenges, including anxiety, low confidence, and sleep problems. Each 90-minute session provides valuable insights into stress management, covering topics such as controlling panic, regulating emotions, and shaping a positive future.

Importantly, attendees do not need to share personal experiences—they can simply listen, learn, and take away useful tools to apply in daily life. The sessions are open to anyone aged 16 and over, and there is no need to register in advance, except for one venue with limited spaces. Participants are also welcome to bring a friend or family member for support.

The new March 2025 course dates and venues are as follows:

  • Wishaw – Coltness Community Centre (ML2 7EY)
    Thursdays, 20 March – 24 April, 6:30pm – 8:00pm
  • Hamilton – Fairhill Lifestyles Centre (ML3 8HJ)
    Tuesdays, 11 March – 15 April, 6:30pm – 8:00pm
  • Holytown – Michael Sherry Centre (ML1 4TW)
    Wednesdays, 12 March – 16 April, 6:30pm – 8:00pm
(Registration required for this venue due to limited space)

For further information or to register interest, call 01698 752626 or email stresscontrol@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk.

If you are unable to attend this round of sessions, more dates will be announced soon.

These classes offer an accessible and supportive way to build resilience, manage stress, and improve overall wellbeing—don’t miss the chance to take control of your stress this spring.
