Supporting patients to remain as active as possible while in hospital by doing activities that are important to them is extremely beneficial.
Active Wards aims to support people to be as active as possible while in hospital and encourages all patients, visitors and staff to work together to make sure this happens for each and every patient, where appropriate.
The initiative wants to ensure that everyone understands the importance of being physically and mentally active during a stay in hospital with everyone encouraging each other, and working together to take part in activities that are important to the patient.
To support staff to increase their understanding of this important initiative, an Active Wards e-learning module is now available on Learnpro. All staff who work within or visit ward settings should add this to their role mandatory profile and complete.
