Leadership walk-round – West of Scotland Laundry

Members of the Board of NHS Lanarkshire took part in a leadership walk-round of the West of Scotland Laundry – gaining valuable insights into the exceptional work carried out by the dedicated staff.

The visit was an inspiring experience, showcasing not only operational excellence but also the innovative and collaborative culture that underpins this vital service.

Maureen Lees, Chair of the Area Clinical Forum, said: “Visiting the laundry was an eye-opening experience.

The walk-round highlighted the impressive achievements of the laundry team, who consistently maintain high-standards and embody a spirit of innovation and resilience.

Plans are in place to upgrade essential equipment, ensuring continued efficiency and reliability. Solar panels are being installed as part of a significant stride toward achieving net zero by 2040.
