Stress Control Classes Return Across Lanarkshire

NHS Lanarkshire is pleased to announce the return of its popular Stress Control classes, designed to help individuals develop practical techniques to manage the challenges of modern-day life.

The six-week programme is open to anyone aged 16 and over, offering tools to manage stress, anxiety, and low confidence, all of which can impact overall well-being.

The upcoming sessions will be held in three convenient community locations:

East Kilbride
Village Cafe, 12 Maxwell Drive, G74 4HH
Tuesday 14 January – 18 February 2025
6:30pm – 8pm

Cumbernauld
Muirfield Community Centre, 1a South Murihead Road, G67 1AX
Wednesday 15 January – 26 February 2025
6:30pm – 8pm (please note no session on 5 February)

Carluke
St Athanasius Church Community Hall, 21 Moutn Stewart Street, ML8 5EB
Thursday 16 January – 20 February 2025
1:30pm-3pm

Bellshill
Bellshill and Mossend YMCA, 294 Main Street, ML4 1AB
Thursday 16 January – 20 February 2025
6:30 – 8pm

The programme covers a range of essential topics, including understanding stress, controlling thoughts and actions, managing panic and sleep issues, and maintaining future well-being. Each session lasts 90 minutes, and no personal sharing is required, allowing participants to simply listen and learn. Attendees are also welcome to bring a friend or family member for support.
