There was a large turnout at a GP Cluster networking and learning event.
Over 70 colleagues attended, including Cluster Quality Leads (CQLs), Practice Quality Leads (PQLs) and others from across primary and secondary care.
Dr Veronica Rainey, Associate Medical Director for South Lanarkshire University Health & Social Care Partnership, said: “The Cluster events provide CQLs and PQLs a valuable opportunity to link and share their improvement work with each other.
“They also allow staff to connect with the wider system where they have a crucial role in influencing and shaping services.”
GP Cluster Quality Teams work with colleagues across health and social care on a wide range of improvements in the safety, effectiveness and quality of care and treatment.
Clusters have an important role in informing and influencing service development across the health and social care system.
The event was seen as an excellent opportunity to engage with peers, with Clusters sharing their improvement work and experiences.
The afternoon also delivered a mix of sessions that included:
- digital care planning;
- frailty;
- an introduction to the support available through the evidence team;
- an overview of the new efficiencies and effectiveness group;
- a facilitated walk-round of stalls hosted by MSK Physiotherapy, GP Occupational Therapy, Community Link Workers, Pharmacotherapy and others.
The events are part of a wide programme of support in place to support Clusters to become effective drivers of change, with the 2025 dates already pencilled in.
