Fulton MacGregor MSP visited our specialist falls team at Coathill Hospital in Coatbridge this week to highlight the excellent ongoing work in Lanarkshire to prevent falls and keep our community safe.
As one of the first dedicated falls services in Scotland, this pioneering team have been instrumental in shaping national falls strategy.
Peter McCrossan, director for Allied Health Professions and the NHS Lanarkshire falls lead, commented:

“Our team has worked exceptionally hard to implement the NHS Lanarkshire Falls Strategy resulting in this having a positive impact on our inpatient falls rate, which is now below the national rate and has improved over the last three years.”
