One of our Out of Hours doctors has participated in a series of films for NHS 24 highlighting common ailments.
Dr Mike Coates, NHS Lanarkshire Out of Hours Clinical Director, has featured in a short film about ‘When is stomach pain appendicitis?’ Click here to view.
In this video, Dr Coates discusses everything you need to know about appendicitis. He explains the common symptoms, how appendicitis is diagnosed, and when it’s essential to see your GP.
Dr Coates commented: “I was really pleased to support the NHS 24 short films campaign to encourage patients to know what to do if they suspect appendicitis. It’s important to raise awareness and help patients seek the right care in the right place and highlighting the options that exist.”
