Low Waters Medical Centre in Hamilton has been affected by IT system difficulties.

Engineers from NHS Lanarkshire, as well as external telecoms suppliers, continue to work on site to resolve the problems.

Dr Mark Russell, Medical Director of South Lanarkshire University Health and Social Care Partnership, said: “The IT challenges first arose on Tuesday, 30 April 2024 and practice staff have been diligently prioritising care.

“We would thank patients for their continued forbearance with any delays that they may have experienced or, indeed, are experiencing. These are outwith the practice’s control and we are endeavouring to restore the practice’s systems to full functionality as quickly as possible. Further updates will be made in due course.”

  • The practice will be closed on Monday May 6 due to a public holiday
  • Phone NHS 24 on 111 for urgent care. If you think you need to visit A&E but it’s not life threatening, you can phone NHS 24 on 111, day or night
