October is Black History Month in the UK.
This was first launched in Scotland 20 years ago.
In a video message for staff, Professor Jann Gardner, NHS Lanarkshire Chief Executive, said: “We stand in solidarity against racism and we make ourselves aware of black history and indeed, the ongoing present day racism that, sadly, is still in our society.”
