Drugs forum training programme graduation

Aug 9, 2023

Trainees on Scottish drugs forum’s addiction worker training project graduated from the programme in an event at Glasgow City Chambers on 28 June.

The graduates included three local trainees who participated in the programme with funding from North Lanarkshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP).

In total, 19 trainees from across Scotland completed nine months of on-the-job training and working towards an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care. Each trainee received a range of other training and practical experience of working in placement in local services. They were awarded with certificates at the ceremony presented by Drug and Alcohol Policy Minister Elena Whitham MSP.

North Lanarkshire ADP are delighted to congratulate all three trainees on completing the course and wish them all the best in their future careers. This year, four new trainees will join the addiction worker training project from North Lanarkshire, with continued funding from NLADP and the Scottish Government.
