Many staff will be designing apps for themselves or for patients to use.
This new policy outlines the steps and processes you need to follow to ensure your app meets the minimum standards of design and governance for any NHS Lanarkshire app, new or already launched.
It gives helpful contacts and guides to ensure your app is meeting accessibility standards, readability standards as well as IT and governance requirements.
This policy is relevant to:-
- Any staff/team who have commissioned an app from a third-party supplier
- Have commissioned or partnered with another partner in the creation of an app i.e. social care partners etc.
- Any app designed and using the NHS Lanarkshire logo to be used with/by staff or patients in NHS Lanarkshire
All new apps must complete the required paperwork before they move forward with the commissioning of the work.
