Neil McLaughlin – who is believed to have had the longest stay in an intensive care unit in Scotland with COVID-19 (167 days) – says thank you to staff at University Hospital Hairmyres after a total of 195 days at the hospital.
Neil was admitted in November 2020, so he has missed Christmas, New Year, Easter and both his and his partner Wendy’s birthday!
