Hi, I’m Emma Auld and I’m currently working as a voluntary communications assistant.
Over the next 6 weeks I’m going to be doing the walking challenge and documenting my experience.
During this time, I’ll be updating you with my progress – the good and the bad. I’ll be showing you where I’ve been walking and how many steps I’ve managed to get in.
The walking challenge is a great way for me to improve my fitness and get my step count in. It can be hard to get your step count done every day when based in an office job as you are sitting in front of a computer, therefore I’m hoping this will motivate me to get out and about more.
Over the last year I decided to get healthier and have taken up walking, an outdoor fitness bootcamp and personal training sessions. I was never much of a fitness fanatic, so this is a big step for me showing everyone what I’ve been doing and I’m both nervous and excited. The last year has been hard on us all and I’m sure many people have missed their local gym or exercise groups. Therefore, this might be the challenge that helps get you over the last hurdle before these places open back up.
So, if you want to challenge yourself you can sign up for the walking challenge and see how far you can walk.
It’s easy to set up and you can also keep count of your steps very easily through most smartphones or smartwatches.
I look forward to seeing everyone’s progress.
